Alder buckthorn is a traditional herb that has been used for centuries by the Normans. It has been shown to have laxative properties and to improve bile production.

According to Health Canada's official monographs, burdock is "traditionally used in herbal medicine as an alterative to help remove accumulated waste products via the kidneys, skin and mucus membranes." Burdock is also excellent for reducing the body's acidity.
