DC 14
DC 14 (Echin-Immun) is a traditional herbal formula that helps support the immune system.
Ingredients
Extracts of echinacea A, echinacea P, goldenseal, wild indigo, myrrh, bee propolis and cayenne pepper in a water and organic grain alcohol base.
Organically-grown or wildcrafted herbs.
Effects
The herbs included in this formula have been used for hundreds of years to prevent and treat a range of respiratory, gastro-intestinal and urogenital infections. The combination of these herbs has a synergetic effect, which helps the immune system fight bacteria, fungi and viruses.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), echinachea has been shown in over 350 studies to be effective in boosting immunity, particularly respiratory immunity. It is also recognized for its ability to promote mucosa repair. It plays an important role in the mucosae of the respiratory, urinary and gastro-intestinal systems during infections.
Like echinachea, goldenseal is an herb originating in North America. Its documented effects include reducing infections and inflammations of the digestive tube, as well as improving digestion. Some phytotherapists have dubbed it the "queen of mucosae."
Wild indigo and myrrh gum are well documented for their infection-fighting properties, including bacterial and fungal infections.
Bee propolis, also known as Russian penicillin, has been used for over 2,350 years and is well documented for its antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.
The presence of cayenne pepper improves the absorption of the herbal extracts in the formula.
